WWII Memorial Volunteers
Seth Watkins, Attorney, Patent Lawyer and photographer (and oh yeah…husband to Marion Watkins, Senator Dole’s attorney) joined us today at the WWII Memorial after a long struggle with an important appeal he is doing pro bono. He’s an expensive volunteer photographer and given his degrees in Law and Mechanical engineering, I’ve found that he’s got potential.
Dean Shaffer who’s been with us on the ground crew since June assumed a new post today and is working with Senator Dole to make sure that it doesn’t get too crowded. This job was strategized by Jeff Miller to protect the Senator. It requires admirable finessses as the volunteer has to duck down behind the Senator for every picture. He claims it’s good exercise. We’ll be losing him for a couple of days as he and his wife are about to have a baby. Good luck to you both and push hard!!!
A group of sailors from Fort Meade joined us today and i am in mentioning them, neglecting the other groups that volunteered today but Honor Flight has been picking up more and more volunteers. It’s great and today’s events went smoothly because of them and Diane, Lona, Erin, and the many volunteers who joined her on the ground crew.
