Fall Flights Flying

World War II Memorial

Honor Flights from fives states came in September 10th, 2008 and there are flights expected every Wednesday and Saturday with a few Tuesday flights as well so it’s going to be a busy season at the World War II Memorial.  The photographs from yesterday are on the book site.  One of the interesting aspects of the various Senators and Congressman visiting is that many of the WWII Veterans are the very same guys who helped them attain elected office. Senator Dole’s schedule is interesting as he flies from Vermont to North Carolina and tries to get work done in DC while attending to the Honor Flight vets.  We keep him pretty busy!!!  Congressman Jerry Moran of Kansas never fails to meet his vets and that’s probably why he’s a Congressman of such rising stature!
