My long lost cousin Senator Sherrod Brown showed up today to greet Veterans at the World War II Memorial. The Brown family is large and influential and it was good to find a family member out there along with Congresswoman Betty Sutton greeting our veterans. Cleveland has been in a couple of times this year and it was a well-organized and brief visit. Jan Merrick and crew are commanding presences and kept things rolling. There was a small wreath ceremony and both Senator Brown and Congresswoman Sutton made some nice comments.
Senator Dole showed up just after that accompanied by Marion who jumped right in to take pictures. She’s a lovely person and she certainly brings a lot of intellect and wit to the project. She’s got competition from Diane and I may soon be able to become “project manager.” Anything with a title means you don’t have to work. Images from the day are at

“Jewel of the Mall books“ to Colorado.
