Dave Bauer and Bernice Allen with Senator Dole at the World War II Memorial. Bernice is the matriarch of the Pik Crew, that Blue Grass Band of kids that raised over $35,000 for Honor Flight. The reporter who announced that they were married has been fired. I never thought he could be trusted anyway!!! Dave has been working on a program called “Flag of our Heroes” and he brings the flags and pictures of Veterans who were unable to make the flight and photographs them in front of their state pillar. Dave’s a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and one of the original members of Honor Flight and sits on the board. Pictures from the day are here!
