“Falling out of the sky”

World War II Memorial

This Saturday, April 18th George Kerestes told me veterans were “falling out of the sky.”  And he was right! 450 veterans from North Carolina, New York, and “more” from North Carolina, the Winnebago flight, Faye Wisely from Michigan,  and Dian Holland brought veterans from all over to see the World War II Memorial.  The weather was phenomenal.  I was working on another photo assignment but thanks to Kari Beardsley, the day was  documented at the photo site.

I am hoping that we’ll soon see some new talent as I have asked George Kerestes and Kari Beardsley to help me with the blog.  And if any of you have something to say, send it along!  We give credits!!! Dan Arant and Donna Prince are volunteering now so I will be asking them for help. This coming Saturday is supposed to be an even larger gathering so I am charging cameras.  We will have three photographers covering the day!
Honor Flight is featured in Jewel of the Mall: World War II Memorial book.
