Kari Beardsley is an Honor Flight volunteer who’s been working with me on the photography and I wanted to showcase both her work yesterday and in particular this
photograph of three vets on the Mall which has become one of my favorite images.  It says everything about our veterans’ visits to the Mall.

Kari is a financial and project manager for the Brookings Institution.  She has been in the DC area for the past two and a half years, but originally is from Minnesota and spent a 12 year stint in Arizona.  Kari has been working with the Honor Flight since September as a way to not only honor all of the Veterans, but especially both of her grandfathers who served in WWII.  If you are interested in photography, working as a volunteer on this photographic project is a great way to hone your skills.
