The The White House News Photographers Association is going to recognize Earl Morse, Jeff Miller, Susan Barr and a few veterans at the annual May Awards dinner. WWII veterans will present the Military Photographer of the Year award. The WHNPA has had a long relationship with the Military and the Washington Post photo department has been bringing WWII vets to the dinner for a couple of years now in recognition of their service.

The WHNPA recognized the book with a review of images in 2006 and WHNPA members have been on the lookout for Honor Flight and other veterans groups at the WWII Memorial throughout the year.

Honor Flight is featured in Jewel of the Mall: World War II Memorial book.
