My book still isn’t on display at the World War II Memorial but today the next best thing…. the Honor Flight RV driven by President Jim McLaughlin… was on-site. There are at least twenty of my photos on the RV and my name and website will be on the back bumper. Now that my friends is visibility!!! As I mentioned in an earlier post, the RV is the fleet leader for Honor Flight’s new RV operation and will be used at County Fairs and fundraising as well as leading caravans to DC.
Today’s photos are available at the usual site by date.
Our intrepid and ever-present volunteer George Kertestes (above right) and Ranger Miriam Hornstein stopped by to take a look and chat. These are two of the Honor Flight participants in the first Honor Flight caravan which managed to get here with no mishaps and was they reported “comfortable but a bit bumpy”. As the trip took eight hours, everyone got a chance to know each other pretty well.
Wags in the photo industry are asking whether I billed by space rates, day rates….or by the mile? All concede that this tops the charts.
