This is Lewis Ellenberg who last year called me up and said “Brother….I want ten of your books….the boys were jealous and I decided to get them a copy.” For orders like this, I have the privilege of discounting and I do. In return, Lewis sends me his self-published book entitled “My God, My Country, And Me” which is small bound book detailing his trip from Alabama farm boy to his military experience in Europe and subsequent years spent working with German Rocket scientists like Werner Von Braun. He traveled the US and Europe developing several missle programs. His judgement of a man…”He was a considerable religious man whom I felt would be fair and honest….” decided his career path. Since he’s retired, he’s been doing service work and has traveled to Australia in pursuit of it. We got to meet last year at the WWII Memorial and I am going to copyright his book for him. I’ve been working as a photographer in DC for thirty plus years and it’s guys like Ellenberg who give me a renewed perspective on the goodness of the species!
