“SWAG” as we call it in the photo industry is any cool item that you can get for free. Lance Akers here is modeling his latest Honor Flight SWAG while he gives a lecture on fund raising to the Honor Flight Convention in DC this February. During the convention, various and sundry folks gave talks on their areas of expertise. WDAY has probably raised more money and covers a larger geographic area than any other Honor Flight. We’ll be visiting with other Honor Flights in future posts. Working together pays off and the model and information that everyone gets from the Network makes the flights more memorable. While there’s no contest, WDAY seems to have the most fashionable swag as Lance shows his latest promotional jacket.
According to the Urban Dictionary, SWAG … “The chief difference between swag and regular merchandise is that its purpose is not to make a profit, but to promote the band/label, and reward its supporters by giving them something cool and unique.”
Honor Flight is featured in Jewel of the Mall: World War II Memorial book.
