Fourth of July, WWII Memorial It’s the Fourth of July and I’m staying home today. I’ve seen a lot of the Mall this year and I can see the national fireworks from my roof and barbecue some Kansas City steaks…..!
Congratulations and thanks to everyone I’ve met through Honor Flight this year. It has been a memorable time and I hope you’ve all enjoyed the photos. Everyone has worked very hard on the effort. This morning, I saw a piece on the Chicago Sun Times website which is the best article done so far on Honor Flight. Take a few minutes to look it over and appreciate your efforts…they’ve made a difference.
As Nancy Kopp says in the article: “When I first started this, I had questions about it,” . “There are a lot of worthwhile causes, and flying men to D.C. to see a piece of granite … what is that? But it has nothing to do with that. It has to do with honor and gratitude and respect.” Thanks again to all of you!!
