It’s been ten years since I began the WWII Memorial project and I am delighted with the results of this new book.  It serves as a tribute to my father and all the fathers and mothers who humbly took on the task of going to war…something no one is prepared for.  One of the first people I photographed when I decided to do the book was Senator Dole and yesterday, I photographed him again as he received a doctorate in law.  Kind of interesting to watch a fellow who’s passed so many laws finally get the certificate to prove he’s capable.
