Faye Wisely (far right) was in town today with the last flight for “Pride and Honor” fo Michigan. She was the first person I ever contacted about Honor Flight. Six years ago, no one was quite sure of how to go about accomplishing the task of getting all those veterans to see their Memorial. She pointed me to Earl Morse who was still working it out with Jeff Miller over the dinner table. It’s been quite a ride for everyone.
As is normal for Faye’s flight, Representative John Dingle showed up to say hello. Faye and I had the time to reminisce and agree that moving 100,000 veterans to DC has been quite a task! Everyone who works with Honor Flight is enriched by the experience and should be proud to have had a part. Today’s pictures are available for free download (personal use only) at the Stephen Brown Print website.
Manassas, Virginia School Children (center) had come in to greet all five Honor Flights that showed up today, the first being Kentucky’s Bluegrass group of thirty vets and Brian Duffy (left) had a couple of suregeons, medics…essentially a full medical team with him today. His veterans are well taken care of!
