What do our veterans do when they leave the WWII Memorial?
Why they meet cute girls at the Lincoln? I had an assignment which prevented me from getting to the WWII Memorial this AM so I drove by the Lincoln afterwards and lo and behold, Florida’ s veterans were looking pretty comfortable as they relaxed with some Air Force personnel who must have joined them for the day.
I then drove over to the Iwo Jima and Jim Tayons was just getting his group ready to leave when I made this picture. If there is a Winter conference this year, I am going to give a little photo workshop on cameras that are practical for group photos. The school children below were giving a rousing cheer for the veterans and the guardians. The photographs are available on the PHOTO SITE.
